Osaka Gas sales volumes drop in FY2015

Japan’s Osaka Gas said its sales volumes for the fiscal year ending March 2015 totaled 8,259 million cubic meters, down 3.1% from the last year.

In the residential sector, the gas sales volume decreased by 0.5% from the last year, while in the industrial sector the gas sales volumes decreased by 4.5% from the last year, the company informed in a statement.

Osaka Gas imports about 7.9 million tons per year, or 9% of Japan’s total LNG imports, from the Middle East (Qatar and Oman), Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei), Australia and Russia, according to the company’s website.

It operates two LNG terminals and has stakes in six LNG carriers.
