Petronas dishes out five-year deals to compatriot service providers

Malaysian oil company Petronas has awarded contracts to two compatriot service providers for work offshore Malaysia.

Namely, Carimin Petroleum’s subsidiary, Carimin Engineering Services Sdn Bhd, accepted a letter of award from Petronas Carigali on September 20.

The deal is for the provision of maintenance, construction, and modification services, Package C offshore the Malaysian peninsula for an undisclosed sum.

The second contract was awarded to Dayang Enterprise Holdings’ subsidiary, Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd, for the provision of maintenance, construction, and modification services Package A offshore Sarawak.

The duration of both contracts is for a primary period of five years with a one-year extension option effective from September 20, 2017, and will expire on September 19, 2022.

The details of the scope of work for both contracts will be addressed in a work order and will include any or all other work or services which is related to topside structural maintenance, workover preparation, and facilities improvement project.
