PHOTO: Jack-ups crowd the Port of Esbjerg

Danish Port of Esbjerg has posted a photo on social media showing several offshore jack-up drilling rigs lined up in the port.

The photo, posted on Thursday, shows the jack-up installation vessel Pacific Osprey (far left) about to call the Port of Esbjerg after a job in the North Sea. The Pacific Osprey arrived at the port on Monday and joined a whole lineup of oil and gas jack-up drilling rigs: the Maersk Resolute, Noble Regina Allen, Atlantic Labrador, Paragon C20051, and Ensco 72 (from left to right).

The drilling rig, Maersk Resolute, arrived at the Port of Esbjerg in May for service and maintenance after completing a job on the South Arne field in the Danish part of the North Sea approx. 250 kilometers off the coast of Esbjerg. The rig has a gross tonnage (GT) of 15,589 tons and an overall length of 70 meters with the jack-up legs measuring 146 meters.

Noble Regina Allen and the accommodation platform Atlantic Labrador are in port for service while awaiting new assignments. According to the port’s logs, the Atlantic Labrador has been at the Port of Esbjerg since August 2015.

Drilling Rig Paragon C20051 arrived at the port on Sunday, August 8, for service and maintenance. The rig has a length of 86.3 m; breadth is 74.7 m and gross tonnage 7,048 tons.

The ENSCO 72 jack-up drilling rig arrived at the Port of Esbjerg for technical service and maintenance back in July. The rig has a GT 8.400, with LxB dimensions of 70m x76m.
