EMAS AMC, EMAS’ subsea division, has shared an image of their pipelay and subsea construction vessel, the Lewek Express, while in Gulen, Norway. The vessel is now in Oceaneering’s yard in Rosyth, Scotland loading umbilicals for the Aviat field, in the UK North Sea.

According to EMAS, the vessel recently completed rigid flowline installation for Apache on the Aviat field.

Previously, Lewek Express completed the installation of pipelines for Det norske oljeselskap ASA on Ivar Aasen field, in the Norwegian North Sea.

EMAS adds that the vessel will head back to the Gulf of Mexico soon.

The Lewek Express is a reeled pipelay vessel built in 1984, converted in 2004 and underwent modification in 2006. The vessel features a 400 metric ton deck crane capable of reaching 600 foot depths, and a 150 metric ton deepwater crane capable of reaching 10,000 feet.
