Picture of the day: Ichthys LNG onshore facilities

The US$34 billion Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG project in Australia is taking strides forward.

The company recently informed that first topside modules for the project’s two offshore facilities have been lifted, marking the integration phase for the central processing facility and the floating production, storage and offloading facility.

At Ichthys LNG onshore site at Bladin Point near Darwin the construction of the LNG jetty has been completed by BAM Clough joint venture. The jetty comprises two separate vessel load-out berths, one for LNG and a second for LPG/Condensate. The module offloading facility is operational, according to Ichthys LNG update.

The LNG project will produce 8.4 mtpa at the peak of its production.
