Poland: Delegation of Vietnamese Parliament Visits Gdansk Shipyard

Poland set the shipyard example for Vietnam – praised the meaning of the shipyard dr Le Bo Linh, the member of the Vietnamese National Assembly. The delegation of the Vietnamese Parliament was visiting the Gdansk Shipyard at the end of June. The purpose of the visit was to get to know the possibilities of cooperation between Gdansk Shipyard and the Vietnamese companies.

This was the third diplomatic mission of Vietnamese representatives in Poland. The delegation wanted to get acquainted with as many cooperation opportunities as possible, the production and designing capacity of Gdansk Shipyard was discussed.

Another reason for visiting, was the agreement signed at the end of May in Oslo between Vinashin Group and Gdansk Shipyard with Cenzin contribution. The agreement foresees construction of a few vessels – small, but complicated and costly rescue units type SAR – commercial director, Mr. Mateusz Filipp, explains.

The units will be built according to the Polish design. In next few months the visit of Vinashin – one of the agreement parties – is expected. The Vietnamese guests were interested mainly in the shipbuilding, but asked many questions about the other areas of the shipyard activity – the delegates were able to see all the production activities of the Gdansk Shipyard.

The meeting in Gdansk was continuation of the earlier efforts of Cenzin (the commercial entity, where the State Treasury is the main shareholder) to tighten the cooperation between the two countries.
