Portugal: Portline Adds New Vessels to Its Fleet

Portugal –based shipping company Portline Transportes Marítimos Internacionais, SA (Portline) has placed an order for six bulk carriers with unnamed Asian shipyards, Macau Business Daily reports.

The vessels are intended for domestic and international service. The first vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2016 and the remaining vessels within two to three years.

The company currently operates a fleet of 16 vessels, mostly bulk carriers and two container ships.

Portline transports a wide range of dry bulk products in Europe. It is also connected with West African islands and Brazil. In addition, the company serves markets in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans.
