Production from Nexus’ Longtom Field Resumes

Nexus Energy Limited (Nexus) advises that following the successful identification of the electrical fault the offshore inspection and intervention program undertaken on the Longtom Facilities offshore Orbost, Australia, has been completed.  

The program was successful in implementing an engineering solution with production start-up activities initiated on 28 June 2012. Full production has now been achieved and findings from the comprehensive inspection program will be incorporated into Longtom’s production system long term maintenance plan.

Nexus, the operator of the field, signed gas sales agreement for Longtom with Santos in December 2005. Since the plant facility upgrade in October 2010, gas production reliability over this period has averaged 98%.
