PSA audits Eni’s Goliat project for Health and Safety management

From 25 March to 8 April 2014, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Eni Norge and the management of occupational health and safety in the Goliat project.

The objective of the audit was to evaluate whether Eni’s management of occupational health and safety in the commissioning phase was adequate for ensuring compliance with OHAS regulations.

The PSA said that no non-conformities were identified, but added that two improvement points were identified in connection with OHAS management and employee participation

The Goliat is an oil field located in the Barents Sea, offshore Norway. The field will be developed using an FPSO of cylindrical shape. The FPSO is being built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea.
