PSA: Lundin to plug North Sea well with Maersk Guardian jack-up

Lundin has received consent from the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway to use the ‘Maersk Guardian’ drilling rig to permanently plug subsea well 7/8-5 S, in the Norwegian North Sea.

According to PSA, the work is expected to take around 18 days.

‘Mærsk Guardian’ is a jack-up drilling rig, owned and operated by the A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group. It was built in Japan by Hitachi and completed in 1986.

The rig received Acknowledgement of Compliance on November 1, 2002.
