Lundin Norway AS (Lundin) has received consent from the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway(PSA) for exploration drilling of well 7220/11-2, in the Barents Sea with Island Innovator rig.

Lundin was granted a drilling permit for well 7220/11-2 from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) in January 2015.

Lundin is the operator for production licence 609 in block 7220/11 in the Barents Sea. Lundin is to drill well 7220/11-2, to investigate the find’s potential.

It is registered in Norway and classified by DNV GL. Island Innovator was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in August 2013.
