Putian Pinghai Bay Phase II: Tenders Invited for 20 Wind Turbines

Fujian Zhongmin Offshore Wind Power Co. has invited tenders for the delivery of 20 wind turbines for the second phase of the Putian Pinghai Bay (Fujian Putian City Flat Bay) offshore wind project. The turbines should have an individual capacity of at least 5MW.

The offshore wind turbines are required to meet IEC I standard or GL I standard.

First batch of wind turbines and their accompanying equipment should be delivered before September 30, 2017. All wind turbines are scheduled to be delivered by July 31, 2018.

The scope of bidding includes 20 sets of offshore wind turbine generator units with individual capacity not less than 5.0 MW. It includes, but is not limited to, electric system and control system of the wind turbine generator units and accessories, towers matched to the wind turbine generator units, step-up equipment, ring-network cabinet, complete monitoring system, spare parts, exclusive tools and relevant technical service.

Deadline for the submission of bids is 9:30 AM (Beijing Time), 30 December 2016.

Once built, Putian Pinghai Bay Phase II will have up to 50 offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of around 250MW.

This summer, the first phase (50MW) was connected to the grid and fully commissioned.

At the end of the last month, the Board of Directors of the New Development Bank (NDB) approved a CNY 2 billion (EUR 273.3 million) loan for the Putian Pinghai Bay offshore wind power project.

Phase II of Putian Pinghai Bay Offshore Wind Power Farm is situated in Putian Pinghai Bay, Xiuyu District, Putian, Fujian Province. The project neighbours Daitou Peninsula on the west and Nanri Island on the north. It is about 12km far from the town of Pinghai.
