Qatar ships LNG cargo to India’s Dahej

Petronet LNG-operated Dahej liquefied natural gas terminal in Gujarat state is scheduled to receive a cargo from Qatar next week. 

According to the shipping data, the 155,000 cbm LNG tanker Aseem, managed by the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), departed from the Qatari port of Ras Laffan on Friday, January 8 and is expected to dock at the Dahej terminal’s jetty on Monday, January 11.

Earlier this week, Petronet agreed a reduced price for the liquefied natural gas it imports from Qatar on 25-year 7.5 mtpa LNG deal it signed in 1999 with RasGas.

Tha largest LNG importer in India is expanding its Dahej LNG terminal to boost its capacity to 15 mtpa with construction works expected to be completed by November 2016.
