Qatar ships LNG to Belgium, South Korea

World’s largest LNG exporter Qatar recently dispatched one cargo of liquefied natural gas to Belgium and South Korea each. 

On January 11, the 210,168 cbm Al Aamriya LNG carrier departed from Ras Laffan and set course for the Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge LNG terminal. Shipping data reveals that the vessel is scheduled to deliver its cargo to Belgium on January 27.

On Tuesday, January 12, the 137,219 cbm Hyundai Cosmopia LNG carrier left Ras Laffan and set sail for Kogas’ Incheon LNG terminal in South Korea. The 2000-built LNG carrier, operated by Hyundai LNG Shipping, is used only on the Qatar-South Korea route. It is expected at Incheon around January 27.

Qatar annually exports around 77 million tons of liquefied natural gas which is approximately one-third of the global supply.
