QCLNG still not fully operational

BG Group’s Queensland Curtis LNG facility is not yet fully operational, according to BG’s Australian unit QGC.

The production of liquefied natural gas from the facility on Curtis Island started in December 2014 and BG Group revealed that at the end of February 2015, it has shipped seven commissioning cargoes.

QGC adds that the final commissioning activities on the first processing train are scheduled for completion in Q2, while the start-up of the second processing train is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015.
