Report: Dragon Oil takes Prime Exerter jack-up on a 3-year deal in Turkmenistan

Oil company Dragon oil has reportedly agreed to hire the Prime Exerter jack-up rig on a three-year contract.

Bassoe Offshore, Norway-based rig broker, shows on its website that the rig would start working for Dragon Oil in Turkmenistan starting in mid-April 2019.

The contract, according to Bassoe data, is expected to last until mid-April 2022.

No data on the dayrate has been disclosed.

Bassoe’s data shows the rig is owned by Singapore-based Teras Offshore, and managed by 3 Core Oilfield Services.

The rig, previously named as Bame Exerter, Energy Exerter, Maersk Exerter, Trident X, STC CICERO, and S.T.C.CICERO, was built in 1981 in France.
