Rocksource to Drill Exploration Well in 1H 2013 (Norway)

Rocksource, a Norwegian oil and gas company focused on exploration has announced that the partnership in PL 506S, BS and CS on the Norwegian Continental Shelf has decided to drill an exploration well in the first half of 2013.

The well will test a high risk / high potential prospect in the Stord basin in the North Sea east of the Jotun and Grane Fields.

The PL 506S, BS and CS partnership consists of Rocksource ASA (Operator, 25 per cent), Valiant Petroleum (25 per cent), Petoro (20 per cent) and Petrolia (30 per cent – pending government approval of a recent farm-in agreement).
