Russia, China pen framework agreement for second gas supply deal

The APEC summit in Beijing hosted a signing of the framework agreement for another gas supply deal between Russia and China.

The second deal comes close to the first one signed by the two countries as it is reported that Russia will sell an additional 30 bcm of gas to China over a period of 30 years via western route.

The framework agreement was signed by Gazprom’s Alexey Miller and CNPC’s Board Chairman Zhou Jiping while Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Junping signed further documents to further develop the energy cooperation between the two countries.
