FSUE Rosmorport Purchases HITACHI 102 Dredger

FSUE “Rosmorport” purchased a non-propelled HITACHI 102 dredger for the needs of the Sakhalin branch at it’s own expense. The dredger is in the seaport of Otaru area at the moment and it will be tugged to the seaport of Korsakov in the beginning of November 2011.

The vessel was constructed in 1997, the dredger’s digger (Hitachi EX 800H) capacity is 420 cubic meters per hour. Dredger’s length is 25 meters, width – 11,5 meters, depth – 2,2 meters, draft – 1,8 meters, generators’ capacity – 1 х 90 kW, 1 х 60 kW.

The dredger will be used to maintain in proper state seaports’ depths where FSUE “Rosmorport” Sakhalin branch provides its services. Also, entrance piers dredging will make large-capacity vessels calls at the Sakhalin seaports possible.

The vessel’s purchase will allow Sakhalin branch to cut expenses connected with hiring other companies for dredging. It also contributes the development of infrastructure in the seaports of Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky, Kholmsk, Korsakov, Moskalvo, Nevelsk, Poronaysk, Prigodnoye, Schakhtersk.
