Gazprom LNG Sales Down

Gazprom of Russia said its LNG sales dropped to 0.9 million metric tons in the first nine months of 2012, compared with 1.9 million tons for the same period in 2011.

Russia’s biggest gas producer sold 2.3 million tons of LNG in 2011, 1.9 million tons in 2010 and 1.4 million tons in 2009, Gazprom said in a preliminary prospectus for a planned Eurobond sale obtained by Bloomberg.

Gazprom operates the first Russian LNG plant on the Sakhalin Island which consists of two processing trains, each having the throughput capacity of 4.8 million tons of LNG per annum.
