Nakhodka Hosts Commercial Sea Ports Association Meeting

On August 27-31, 2012 Commercial Sea Ports Association’s Board of Directors meeting took place in Nakhodka (Primorye Territory).

The FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrei Lavrishchev participated the meeting, as a member of the Board of Directors, along with Mintrans of Russia, Rosmorrechflot, Primorye Territory Administration and other regional organizations representatives.

The agenda included the wide range of issues, such as the Association and Mintrans of Russia cooperation on the matters of the normative legal regulation in the sphere of maritime transport and port activities in particular.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” representatives also took part in the regional meeting on the issue of special terminals prospect in Far East till 2017. Participants discussed operating sea terminals construction and reconstruction plans, cargo base and deliveries geography forecasts for new port infrastructure objects.

Problem issues of railroad infrastructure development: harmonization of the bandwidth growth rates and increasing volumes of cargo traffic in Far Eastern sea ports were also considered along with matters of state support mechanisms, assistance in the implementation of the export potential of Russia via Far Eastern sea ports.
