Nevsky Shipyard Celebrates 99th Birthday

On November 9th, 2012 there was an awarding ceremony dedicated to 99th Birthday of Nevsky Shipyard (The Shipyard was found on November 6th 1913).

At the beginning of his greeting speech the Director General of Nevsky Shipyard Vladimir Prudyus reminded in brief main stages in Shipyard development and formation. Namely, from its foundation as repair workshops till the present day when Nevsky Shipyard is one of the best enterprises in domestic river shipbuilding as it makes the top three in this sector. Further, Vladimir Prudyus noted in his speech the employees achievements in fulfillment of assigned tasks and he briefly formulated goals for the nearest future. After expressing gratitude to Shipyard staff for their work, the Director General wished strong health, many years of life and further success at work.

The pleasant moment of well-deserved rewards handing to the Shipyard employees began with honoring of Yurii Seregin, who has worked at the Shipyard during 58 years, in connection with his retirement. Previously, Yurii Seregin had been awarded the medal “300 Years of the Russian Navy”, “Top specialist” and the title “The Veteran of the North-Western Shipping Company”.

After that the best workers of Nevsky Shipyard were awarded Certificates of Honour, Diplomas and Letters of Gratitude and cash bonuses.
