Russia’s Gazprom gets new board

Russian gas giant Gazprom elected a new board of directors during its annual shareholder’s meeting held on Friday in Moscow. 

Viktor Zubkov has been renamed as chairman of the Gazprom board of directors, while the company’s Chief Executive Alexey Miller, has been renamed as deputy chairman of the board, according to a Gazprom statement.

Other members of the board are Andrey Akimov, Timur Kulibaev, Vitaly Markelov, Viktor Martynov, Vladimir Mau, Alexander Novak, Dmitry Petrushev and Mikhail Sereda.

The new board also formed a new audit committee and the nomination and remuneration committee, the statement reads.
