Saipem nabs $400M in new offshore work

Italian oilfield services specialist Saipem has secured a new offshore engineering and construction contract in Saudi Arabia.

The new contract has been awarded by Saudi Aramco for Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) activities in Saudi Arabia, under the Long Term Agreement renewed in 2015 until 2021.

The contract’s main scope of work includes the engineering, procurement and construction of a new 42” offshore pipeline replacing an existing one and other activities for the upgrade of the Manifa water injection system.

Saipem has also been assigned additional works regarding previously awarded projects in the Offshore E&C in West Africa. The total value of these new awards is approximately $400 million. The company did not reveal more details on the project in West Africa.
