Shell Discovers Shale Gas in China

Shell has found shale gas in China, Professor Yuzhang Liu, Vice president of Petrochina’s Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, told Reuters.

He said that drilling results from two wells Shell drilled had been positive.

China has 1275 trillion cubic feet of technically recoverable shale gas resources – by far the largest in the world, U.S. Energy Information Administration said in a report recently.
