Sinopec of China Wins Approval to Start Preliminary Works on Jiangsu LNG Terminal

Sinopec of China has won approval to begin preliminary works on an LNG import terminal in Jiangsu province, the Energy Bureau of Jiangsu province said in a statement.

The LNG import terminal will have a capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum and it will have four 160,000 cubic-metre storage tanks.

Sinopec boosted its stake to 25 percent in Australia Pacific LNG project last year and also bought an additional 3.3 mtpa of LNG, bringing the total LNG sales to Sinopec to 7.6 mtpa, commencing in 2015.
