Italy’s Snam opens first LNG-CNG station in Pesaro

The Italian natural gas transmission system operator, Snam, said the first LNG-CNG fueling station has been inaugurated in Pesaro.
The facility managed by Acema, Snam’s first LNG fueling station built through its Snam4Mobility unit, will allow for the test of a new model of “sustainable mobility based on natural gas” in order to reduce emissions both for light and heavy-duty vehicles.
The new plant is able to supply LNG and CNG will also be able to bring gas to the existing service station located on a nearby motorway, which has been appropriately upgraded with shelter and distribution islands to supply compressed methane.
Liquigas, Italian LNG distributor for industrial and automotive use, will guarantee the supply of the product to Acema.
Acema is a fuel distribution and integrated services provide for service stations.
Snam4Mobility currently has about 50 refueling plants under construction.
