Songa Offshore Provides Rig Fleet Status Update for April 2013

Songa Offshore, a Cyprus-based drilling contractor, has announced its drilling rig fleet status update for April 2013.

Songa Dee achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month continuing working for Statoil in Norway.

Songa Delta achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month continuing working for Statoil in Norway.

Songa Trym achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month continuing working for Statoil in Norway.

Songa Venus went through and completed ahead of schedule the planned inspection and re-certification of the well control system in Labuan Malaysia during the month. The rig is currently underway to location for commencement of previously announced contract with Mubadala Petroleum in Vietnam.

Songa Mercur achieved an operating efficiency of 80% during the month and continuing working for Zarubezhneft in Cuba. As previously communicated the BOP was pulled to inspect the connector bolts and to investigate an experienced shear ram malfunction which was found to be well induced. The rig is now back in drilling operations and scheduled to complete its operations on the current well by June June 1, before transferring to the next work location off Vietnam.
