South Hook awaits more Qatari LNG

South Hook LNG terminal on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is set for a busy first week of October.

Shipping data reveals that the Al Shamal LNG tanker, with a capacity of 217,000 cbm set off from Ras Laffan port in Qatar and is scheduled to dock at South Hook’s jetty on October 5.

This is the third delivery in the first five days of October as LNG carriers Al Sheehaniya and Fraiha are set to deliver cargoes on October 1 and October 3, respectively.

The South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
