KOGAS H1 LNG Sales Up

KOGAS, the world’s largest corporate buyer of LNG, said its LNG sales volume totaled 20.6 million tons in the first half of this year, a 5.3 percent rise compared to the same period last year.

The company imported 21.53 million tons of LNG in the first half of this year. KOGAS expects to import 37.90 million tons of LNG in 2013.

The company has 16 long-term and 3 mid-term contracts in 10 countries over the world.

KOGAS also said its net profit for the first half dropped 44.4% YoY to Won 251.1 billion.

Revenue for the first half of 2013 was Won 20.40 trillion, up 8.3% compared to a year earlier.
