Sovcomflot changes brand name

Russian Sovcomflot decided to change its business entity type and brand name effective December 10. 

The new corporate name has been changed from OAO Sovcomflot to PAO Sovcomflot, Public Joint Stock Company, according to a company release.

PAO Sovcomflot is part of the Sovcomflot Group and recently it secured a $319 million, ten-year credit facility with a consortium of leading European banks to finance two new ice-class LNG carriers the SCF Melampus and SCF Mitre.

The two ships will operate on long-term contracts with the Shell Group.
