Florida’s Port Canaveral welcomed Glovis Caravel, a huge roll-on/roll-off vessel, for the first time on June 21.

The Bahamas-flagged ship can carry 6,500 vehicles.

With a deadweight of 20,400 tons, Glovis Caravel features a length of 200 meters and a width of 32.3 meters.

Built at Hyundai Mipo yard in South Korea in 2012, the vessel is owned by Greece-based Stamco Ship Management.

Chartered to Korea’s Hyundai Glovis, Glovis Caravel is part of the company’s fleet of more than 60 operating vessels.
