Statoil to Present Hywind Scotland Project in Peterhead

To provide local communities with information about the Hywind Scotland Pilot Park, Statoil will hold a public exhibition on 20 January in Peterhead.

The exhibition will take place at the Palace Hotel, starting with an oral presentation at 6 p.m. Representatives from the project will be present to answer questions.

Statoil has made the final investment decision to build the world’s first floating wind farm after getting an approval from the Scottish Government in early November 2015.

Some EUR 214 million will be invested in the 30MW Hywind Scotland Pilot Park, comprising five floating 6MW turbines installed approximately 25km off the coast of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.
