Statoil to Transport Condensate via Heimdal-Grane Pipeline

Statoil to Transport Condensate via Heimdal-Grane Pipeline

Norway’s Statoil has received renewed consent to use the pipeline between Heimdal and Grane. The background for the application is a change in how the pipeline is used.

The pipeline between the Heimdal and Grane facilities was originally constructed for gas injection purposes.

Statoil wants to have the option of using the pipeline to transport condensate under certain specific operational conditions.

Statoil has conducted a requalification program for changed use of the pipeline, from gas transport to condensate transport, and has carried out necessary modifications on Grane and Heimdal.

The Petroleim Safety Authority Norway has granted Statoil a new consent in accordance with the application.
