Statoil’s Gudrun documentary

Norwegian oil giant Statoil began producing oil from its Gudrun field in the Norwegian North Sea on April 7, 2014.

Below is a documentary which shows in detail the whole Gudrun project from it being only a few lines on a drawing board to becoming a fully constructed platform standing tall in the North Sea.

Gudrun is the first new Statoil-operated platform to come on stream on the Norwegian continental shelf since 2005.
