Supreme Court to Decide Tomorrow on Trump vs EOWDC Case

The UK’s Supreme Court is scheduled to publish a ruling on Donald Trump’s legal fight against the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) on Wednesday, 16 December.

After losing a couple of times in the Scottish courts, the Trump Organization decided to file a lawsuit against the 11-turbine project to the UK’s Supreme Court, saying that it was “impossible to have a fair hearing” in Scotland.

Donald Trump claims that the offshore wind project off Aberdeenshire coast would ruin the view from his golf course at Menie.

Even though he vowed not to take his plans forward unless the EOWDC was rejected, Mr Trump has already submitted planning applications to Aberdeenshire Council for the next development phase of his Aberdeenshire golf course, saying that the offshore wind project’s chances of being built are weakening due to financial issues and outdated technology.

Vattenfall, the company behind the project, denied that any of this is true and stated that the plans for the development are still ongoing.
