Tangguh LNG plant sells three cargoes

Tangguh LNG plant located in Teluk Bintuni Regency in Papua Barat province of Indonesia reportedly sold three cargoes to BG Group and BP.

Sources told Reuters that the cargoes are scheduled for July/August delivery.

BP, the operator of the LNG export facility, is currently working on expanding the plant’s production capacity, raising it to 11.4 mtpa with the addition of a third 3.8 million tons per annum train.

The drop in oil prices has had major effects on the marketing of the train three volumes as earlier this year BP informed that 1.3 million tons of annual capacity from the third train have yet to be sold. The completion of the project is expected before 2020.
