Taylor Hopkinson Associates Visits Gemini Offshore Wind Park

Taylor Hopkinson Associates, a UK renewable energy and clean technology recruitment consultancy, recently visited the port of Eemshaven, known as the hub of offshore wind logistics, to meet with the Gemini site team.

The Gemini wind farm is a consortium composed of Northland Power, Siemens Wind Power, HVC and Van Oord, it is expected to be one of the world’s largest wind farms with full commissioning scheduled for 2017.

The UK based recruitment company has been responsible for providing many of the key members of the project such as the Construction Manager, Head of HSE, Contracts Manager, Quality Manager and others. Most recently they have provided several Client Representatives across all packages and this visit was a valuable opportunity to meet with some of the team in port.

“Our trip to Eemshaven gave us a great insight to the operations and logistics involved with building an offshore wind farm. We think it is important to make visits such as this to further improve our knowledge of the industry and to appreciate the difficult conditions the offshore workers are challenged with,” said Ashley Harrington, Managing Consultant at Taylor Hopkinson Associates.
