Tokyo Gas sales flat in April

Total gas sales volume by Japan’s Tokyo Gas for the month of April 2016 reached about 1,323,581 million cubic meters, only 0.1 percent down on April 2015 volumes.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 350.964 million cubic meters, 1.0 percent down from the corresponding month in 2015, while in the business sector, volume totaled 197.497 million cubic meters, a drop of 2.2 percent from April 2015, Tokyo Gas’ monthly report shows.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 590.298 million cubic meters, up only 0.2 percent compared to the same month last year.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 184.821 million cubic meters, up 3.1 percent from April 2015.
