Singapore: PM Officially Opens LNG Terminal

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong officially opened Singapore’s first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal, at a ceremony held at the Terminal on Jurong Island. Some 400 guests attended the event, marking a new chapter in Singapore’s energy security and the future development of Singapore’s energy sector.

Excelerate Files with FERC for U.S. FLNG Export Terminal

Excelerate Energy has filed its formal application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requesting authorization to construct, own, and operate the first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) export facility in the United States.

Jensen Maritime to Design LNG Bunker Barges, USA

Jensen Maritime, Crowley Maritime Corp.’s Seattle-based naval architecture and marine engineering company, has been awarded a contract to design some of the first liquefied natural gas bunker barges in the U.S. for customer LNG America LLC, a Houston-based LNG fuel supply and distribution company.

US DOE Grants FTA LNG Export Permit to Delfin

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has approved Delfin LNG’s application to export, on its own behalf and as agent for third parties, 657.5 Bcf/year of LNG over a 20-year period to nations with a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States.
