Trendsetter’s Subsea Package for Noble’s Gunflint Project

Trendsetter Engineering has completed delivery of the subsea equipment for Noble Energy’s Gunflint project. Trendsetter’s scope consisted of five subsea pipeline end termination (PLET) and inline sled (ILS) structures, three jumper kits, and all subsea connection system components and tooling.

The Gunflint development is a tieback to the Gulfstar I spar in the Gulf of Mexico.

Tony Matson, engineering director, Trendsetter Engineering, said: “Working with Noble over the course of this project has been truly rewarding. The effort, professionalism, and cooperation exhibited by all members of the project team enabled us to deliver an effective solution to meet Noble’s requirements and, I believe, exceed their expectations.”

All subsea equipment is designed and qualified for 15,000psi service with design, final assembly, and testing performed by Trendsetter in Houston, Texas.  Manufacture of components was conducted in Houston, the UK, and Italy (gate valves supplied by Advanced Technology Valve).

Trendsetter’s service and operations support team will continue work on the project throughout the offshore installation campaign.
