Trinidad LNG on Way to Chile

Trinidad and Tobago’s Point Fortin LNG terminal shipped a cargo of liquefied natural gas to Chile yesterday, according to shipping data.

The cargo is being hauled by the Methane Kari Elin, a 138,000 cubic-meter tanker, and it is due to arrive at the Quintero Bay terminal on March 18.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Point Fortin LNG terminal is one of the world’s largest producers of liquefied natural gas and the plant consists of four trains.

The plant has a capacity of 15.5 million mt per annum.
