TSC Gets Jacking Systems Contracts from Zentech

Recently, EMER International Ltd. (EMER), a wholly owned subsidiary of TSC Group Holdings Limited (TSC) won a contract from Zentech,Inc. (Zentech) to supply the complete jacking systems for its new design of jack-up rig; the R-550D. The jacking systems will be produced in China under the total control of TSC, reducing overall delivery time. The contract is valued at between US$14 to 16M.

The R-550D is a high performance, three legged, jack-up drilling rig, designed for worldwide service in up to 400 feet (121.9m) of water depth. Design features include a large extended reach cantilever, a zero discharge system, a high speed preloading system, a high pressure drilling system, a high volume storage system and many other features which increase safety and operating efficiency. The design has been approved by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and meets requirements of various fast growing emerging markets.

TSC believes that R-550D rigs will be well received in the market and become a customer choice for replacing aging platforms. Moreover, the R-550D drilling platform is competitively priced.

As Zentech’s exclusive OEM provider, TSC will provide access its ABS certified jacking systems. The single tooth jacking system’s 1,000 kip capacity, is at the highest domestic level and is capable of supporting 400 foot platforms, such as the R-500D and JU2000E. Through providing critical jacking system equipment manufacturing, TSC is now able to provide customers more choices.
