Turkmenistan has expressed readiness to increase export of electricity and natural gas to Iran.

The Turkmen government has stressed there are good prospects for increasing export of electricity and energy to Iran. This was said during a recent meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian commission for economic cooperation in Tehran, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

It’s worth mentioning that, around 2.850 billion cubic meters of natural gas were transported through gas pipeline to Iran within six months.

“The achieved result exceeds the similar index of 2011 by more than 215 million cubic meters,” the information said.
