UK IT Power Appoints New CEO

IT Power announced the appointment of David Nickols as Group CEO of the IT Power Group. He will also serve as European Managing Director.

Mr. Nickols will spearhead the international growth of this leading renewable and sustainable energy consulting and engineering firm. Based in the London and Bristol UK offices, Mr. Nickols will be responsible of global operations for the entire group, including our UK, Australian, Chinese, East African, Indian and Latin American offices.

Mr. Nickols brings to the IT Power Group more than 30 years of international experience working globally with consulting and EPC companies in the water and energy sectors. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and a registered Professional Engineer in the USA and completed his degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK in 1981.

He started his career with Atkins, living both in the UK and the Middle East, and then spent 14 years with Hazen and Sawyer in the United States of America. On returning to Europe in 2001 he joined Black & Veatch in the UK as President of Europe (including Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan) before being recruited by MWH Global in 2005 to be President of MWH’s EMEAI region, based in Belgium.

He joins IT Power from the WSP Group where he was Global Managing Director of its Future Energy business. He has successfully led projects on all the five inhabited continents, ranging from small studies to major multi-billion dollar investments.
