UK Subsea Businesses to Discuss Market Challenges

Subsea supply chain businesses in the south-west of England will be joining forces to identify opportunities and debate the challenges facing the sector at an industry networking event organised by Subsea UK.

The session on October 12, will be held at the National Composites Centre (NCC), and will focus on underwater activity in relation to oil and gas, defence, oceanology and marine renewables industries and aims to facilitate the participating organisations to work towards the common goals they face in the current demanding marketplace, Subsea UK explained.

Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “There is a huge amount of innovation and expertise in the south-west of England, particularly in the areas of subsea, defence, oceanology and marine renewables. We want to support these companies, helping them identify and exploit opportunities and encourage the exchange of knowledge.

“This event provides an ideal platform for subsea companies in the region to come together, discuss and debate these areas, which is vital if the sector is to adapt to the current environment and develop new ways that will increase production and the recovery of hydrocarbon reserves at a lower cost. Anyone with an interest in the subsea industry is welcome to attend.”
