Kherson Shipyard Completes Construction of Offshore Structures for Saipem

Kherson Shipyard has Successfully Completed the Construction of Offshore Structures for Italian Saipem Company.

Recently PJSC Kherson Shipyard completed the construction of 6 pcs. offshore Structures of Suction Anchors (Hull No.18027) for Italian Offshore Saipem Company, designed to secure the underwater pipeline in the Caspian Region.

The overall dimensions of each structure are as follows: Length – 30.5 m, width – 10.5 m , height with protruded parts – 7.1 m. The structure total weight is 1200 t.

Toni Karuza, SAIPEM Company Representative at Kherson Shipyard, has underlined that the Customer was “absolutely satisfied with the time and high workmanship of executed works”.

In October 2011 the shipyard entered into Contract with a group of Maltese SVL Companies for the construction of a series of complete tankers of Project RST 27 The project has been elaborated by Marine Engineering Office (Odessa).

On October 23, 2011, the construction of the first tanker of the project series (Hull 8001) was started on the building berth of the Company. To-day 3 tankers of RST 27 Project are under construction. 25 Contacts are in work for repair and updating of vessels. The production facilities of the Company are loaded till 2013.
