Ukraine PM: Gas Reverse Via Slovakia Mutually Beneficial

Re-export of natural gas to Ukraine through Slovakia is beneficial for the two states, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced during a meeting with Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Pavol Paška.

“For over a year we have been into negotiations with the operator of your gas transport system so that to conclude an agreement on reverse supplies of gas to Ukraine.

It is not a simple question. But, nevertheless our countries are participants of European Energy Charter and it means we have to be able to diversify the supplies,” he said

“We have to have opportunities for the joint access to the gas transport system and I hope we will solve this question with you to ensure mutually beneficial trade,” Mykola Azarov added.
