Ukraine Postpones LNG Project

Ukraine Postpones LNG Project

Plans by Ukraine to develop a liquefied natural gas project on Black Sea Coast appear to be slipping, with the lack of interest from investors.

Ukraine will delay a project to build LNG terminal, the Kommersant newspaper reported, citing an offical from NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy.

Ukraine has recently appointed Spain’s Socoin to develop a feasibility study for its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.

The country wants to build a liquefied natural gas plant on the Black Sea coast to diversify its gas supply and strengthen its position as a major transit country.
