Ukrainian PM Stresses Importance of Adriatic Gas Corridor

A memorandum on creation of the Adriatic gas corridor, which is to join Ukraine, Hungary and Croatia, should be signed as soon as possible, said the Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

This was stressed during his meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Administration and Justice of Hungary Tibor Navracsics, who agreed with the issue in question.

“We were hoping to sign this memorandum in Brussels, hoping to sign it in Kyiv. Today we haven’t signed it. I was talking to Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia that we must spare no effort to speed up signing of this memorandum,” Mykola Azarov said.

Azarov added that he is ready to personally go to Budapest or Zagreb or to invite the two prime ministers to Kyiv.

“It is an extremely crucial project and participation of the three prime ministers would prove its significance and urgency,” the Head of Government stressed.

Moreover, the Prime Minister emphasized the needed for implementation of all agreements achieved in the course of his visit to Hungary in March this year.
